Elijah's Flee from Jezebel (Kings I, ch. 19)
Elijah the prophet was running away from evil Jezebel. He goes to Mt. Sinai, and inquires of Hashem. The word of Most High said,"Go out of the cave and stand on the mountain before Hashem" And behold! Hashem was passing, and a great, powerful wind, smashing mountains and breaking rocks, went before Hashem. "Hashem is not in the wind!". after the wind came an earthquake. "Hashem is not in the earthquake." After the earthquake came a fire. "Hashem is not in the fire."After the fire was a thin silent sound- That's where G-d is.

The eternal cycle of time is represented by the apple, seeds, trees and hourglass. The little seeds can create huge apple-bearing trees. How blessed are the cycles of time! The hourglass can be flipped! The one apple is able to become many, but at the same time, each grows to be an individual that is connected to the many. Even in the desert, life can grow and flourish.

Aish Ha'Mayim
The title combines the Hebrew words for fire (aish) and water (mayim). Both come from the heavens (shamayim). The balance of these two apparently-opposite elements is heavenly. The branches of this tree of life are formed like arms to show the importance of positive action done with balance in the physical world in order to access the spiritual realms. It is in the spiritual realms where opposites can co-exist in a balance. The moons suggest the eternity of time.

AMUKA
While in Israel, Natalia visited a holy site to seek guidance and blessings from above. She held two lighted candles in her hands that became entwined and melted together. The candle had two wicks, but one flame. She asked that she and Aaron be joined together as the two candles in her hand. Amazingly, that same week, Aaron decided he wanted to marry Natalia.
The wax of the candles represents wisdom, their entwining – unity, the flame – love, and the wick – action. The steps are the stages of life. The Conquering Lions of Judah are seen in the clouds. They are not physical, but spiritual – not yet here. Positivism will bring peace on earth. The water shows how the higher, spiritual realms are reflected in our physical reality.

Souls All Mighty
The number three represents something which is eternal. The candle wax symbolizes wisdom, the wick – action, the flame – love. Our souls ascend through wisdom and love being translated into acts of loving-kindness until the “cup runneth over.” As the droplets of water fall from the cup of goodness, the souls are formed and ascend.

REB NACHMAN’S STORIES - several of Natalia’s works refer to a story credited to Reb Nachman of Breslov. It is the story of an arduous physical and spiritual journey. By its conclusion, hardship and evil are transformed into goodness and peace on earth.

WHERE NIGHT AND DAY MEET
The sun and moon offer each other consolation as they recognize that each has times of glory and hardship. The sun suggests a way for the moon to regain the strength that has been stolen by demons.

GOLEM – In the 1500’s, The Maharal of Prague was reported to have the knowledge to create a clay figure that, with G-d’s permission, would come to life. This large, clay giant was formed to protect the innocent. Just as we are all formed from clay, it is also our responsibility to protect the innocent.
